Jess

President and Founder
Jess is passionate about helping business owners understand their financial data so they can make sound business decisions. Since forming Roper in 1993, she has worked with attorneys, healthcare providers, realtors, and contractors to provide strategic planning, budget analysis, cash flow projections, and KPI analysis to teach them to understand the numbers for their business. According to a client, “Jess exceeded everything and made it so simple. Jess has allowed me to think about my finances in a different way.” Jess also teaches small business workshops for area community colleges and SCORE. Prior to starting Roper, Jess was a senior officer in banking and insurance for close to 20 years. Education: BA degree in math and psychology from East Carolina University, post graduate accounting curriculum at North Carolina State University, post graduate program at the BAI School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in Madison (3-year program), Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, continuing education classes Community Involvement: Past president and current treasurer (for many years) of the Raleigh Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, past president and past treasurer (for many years) of the North Raleigh Civitan Club, past Lt. Governor of NC District East Civitan.

Staff Accountant
Anny has more than 28 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. She joined Roper in 2011. Her clients include non-profits, dental practices, construction firms and other service providers. Anny loves accounting because there are no two days that are the same. She enjoys the diversity of our client platforms and the opportunity to provide a much needed and appreciated service. Education: BS degree in accounting from the University of Scranton, Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor Community Involvement: Passionate about her volunteer work for domestic violence and child sexual abuse organizations.

April has over twenty years of experience using QuickBooks, She has worked with a variety of clients in various industries since joining Roper in 2010. Her current clients include legal practices, auto repair companies, and other service providers. April enjoys problem solving and the opportunity to work with supportive colleagues and appreciative clients. Colleen joined Roper in 2016 after relocating from Massachusetts where she accumulated over 30 years of accounting experience working mainly in the non-profit sector. She has also owned and operated a family owned business in the construction industry for the past 35 years. He now enjoys spending time coaching his son (soon to be a rising star) on his golf game and working with a hot air balloon company on their balloon recovery team.
